Dear journal...

I don't think I like you anymore, you used to watch me shave, now all you do is stare at the floor.. Wait, that's not you journal...

anywho, it's only been, what, a year and a half since I've posted... So a few things have changed since them. The lovely :iconno-role-model: and I are now engaged. We're also in the process of buying our first house. We've looked at over 30 houses before finally finding one we liked enough to put an offer on. Now we just have to wait to hear about our repair request, pretty nerve racking!!

Wish it would be 11 here so work could be over...

<sigh>

I need to get out and get some pictures takes =( ...I've been spending too much time sitting on my arse in front of my new computer playing WoW to do anything else. Between that and My job all I do is sit in fron of a computer. At least the weather is finally starting to get better-warming up. From what I hear it's only going to last a few days again-welcome to Kansas!

gah! I'm going to enjoy this three day weekend -I say from sitting at work for another 3 hours...

I'm Excited!!!

...and it's in a not perverted way...

I got my new truck!!! Well, it not very new. it's an '89... and it's a Ford. If you know me, you know how I despise Ford vehicles. But with the price tag this one had on it, I couldn't resist!! It's going to be a gas guzzler, it has a 5.8L 351 Cleveland. At lest it has two gas tanks, which will cost around 70 bucks to fill up (together).

I'm to excited to go to sleep, and I have to work in about 5 hours... that sucks. Work is going to suck to. I'm going to start shopping for stuff as soon as I'm off work. I'm going to give her a tune-up. The standard plugs, plug wires, oil, air filter, distributor rotor and cap. Gonna see if I can fix some of the oil leaks. whenever I shut her down a nice cloud of smoke pours out of the engine compartment. I'm thinking the head gasket might be bad. I dunno. haven't had a chance to check anything. I'll know more when I can look at it in the light

Am I REALLY that scary?

I didn't realize that a camera could really scare people IN THE CITY that much!!

Funny story about my most recent shoot:

For those of you who are familiar with Wichita.. I parked by Exploitation [Exploration] place and took some pictures at the Keeper [of the Plains] Plaza. I decided that I wanted to walk around downtown because I wanted to take some pictures of the 'Historic Federal Court House'. So I walked around and eventually made it there. I took several pictures and I was about ready to switch back to a telephoto to get a close-up of a carving above the door when I noticed a badge walking across the street towards me. Come to find it was a Wichita Police Investigator. He wanted to know "Why I was taking pictures of the building?" Umm... I like the limestone and the interesting carvings... "So your a photographer" (standing there with a Cannon Digital EOS Rebel in one hand and a Canon camera bag in the other) ...As a hobby yeah... "well, you aren't a terrorist are ye?" - He didn't exactly ask that, but that's what he implied. He played the "times now" card and said that "they have to be careful"

Are they going to put blinders on people so you can't LOOK at the building?! It's not like I was IN the building taking photos! I was OUTSIDE taking photos of what you can see on a DAILY BASIS!!!

So that's my funny story. Now I'll play with the pictures so I can get some up here

Mua ha ha!! I finally paid off my new baby! As much as I wish it was my own camera... It's not... I will, however, eventually take a picture of it and put it on here.

*drum roll* I bought a Browning A-Bolt White Gold Medallion .30-06 and a Leupold VX-III Riflescope. They look gorgeous paired together. The stock is made out of Walnut and it has a gloss finish. It has a Stainless Steel Barrel and my scope is silver to match...

Here is a factory picture of the rifle. My stock is much more pretty.
